In November, my city (Buea) will host some of the games for the Africa Female Soccer Championship. For that reason, the government is demolishing any building along the main road that they feel is not up to a certain standard by their judgement. So, last Monday (09/26) they knocked down our Church building, after just two days of notice. We were leasing the building. That posses a huge challenge as to where the Church continues to gather but we praise God that no one can demolish God’s Church which is the body of Christ!
Thank you for praying with us as we trust God for a better place where we can gather to worship God through Jesus Christ. If you can, you may join us for fasting on Tuesday October 4th. Here are some more specific prayer requests:
- That God will guide and lead our Pastor Genesis G. Tinshu (currently studying at Dallas Seminary – dts.edu) as he works with his Ministry Team in Cameroon regarding the next steps.
- That the Church members will NOT be discouraged by this situation but will rather trust God the more in the midst of this trying time and look forward to a better future.
- That the Lord will provide a suitable temporal place of meeting as we work towards a more permanent location.
- That the Lord will provide financially to build a suitable meeting hall on a piece of land we already own. This will provide stability for the Church (looking into the future) and make great good out of an ugly situation for God’s glory.
We are open for input and if you would like to be in touch, please email: pastor@bueachurch.org or Call/SMS: 214-718-6987.
